Volunteer In Uptown

We’re looking for volunteers to help with events and keep the historic Uptown Ankeny neighborhood looking its best! Please let us know how you would like to help Uptown in accordance with the categories below:

Beautification Team: help us keep the Uptown neighborhood beautiful! Duties include: planting and watering flowers in street corner planters, snow and leaf removal outside of the Uptown Depot (601 SW 3rd Street, Ankeny, IA 50023), installation and removal of holiday decorations.

Street Team: distribute posters and other materials to businesses throughout the Uptown neighborhood and in the Ankeny community at large.

Event Team: help with setup and tear down at Uptown events, take tickets and help load the Uptown Ankeny Express train ride at events, help direct attendees, distribute promotional items.

Road Closure Team: for events that involve the closure of one or many Uptown streets, we need a crew who will put up and tear down road closure warning signs and barricades.
