The Uptown Ankeny Farmers Market’s vendors provide a wide variety of products to the public. The Market has everything from fresh seasonal produce, home-made baked goods, specialty food items, perennial plants, and hand-made crafts.

Ankeny Market & Pavilion Park (AMP)
715 W 1st Street in Uptown Ankeny
Please note: Pets are allowed in the city park of AMP, however, they are not allowed in the pavilion areas during the market.
When
The 2026 Farmers Market will be open every Saturday from May 23rd through September 26th.
Please note: Our market for the 4th of July week will be held on Thursday, July 2nd from 4-8pm, and we are closed on July 11th for The Ankeny Chamber Summerfest Grand Parade.

FEES & TAXES

Payment from Part-Time Vendors is required ahead of your market date.

Vendors are responsible for filing sales tax statements, where applicable

Vendors serving food must purchase a Farmer’s Market Food Service License from the State of Iowa
SPACE
-
We have designated loading and unloading zones
You will need your own carts to transport your items. -
Parking in designated parking lots is required

Vendors will be ready to sell at 8 am.

Saturdays, May 23- September 26 (Closed Saturday, July 11)

Night Market 07/02 (4-8 pm), in lieu of Saturday 7/4 market

Vendors will remain open until the market closes at noon

Space may not be sublet

Space, including the surrounding area, should be kept clean and free of debris during and after the Market

All personal equipment and products/produce should be removed upon departure

The use of large trucks or detachable trailers is prohibited without special permission from the Market Manager

Vendors may attract attention to their articles ONLY in a manner that doesn’t disturb neighboring vendors

Approved items actually produced, or grown in the vendor’s garden, farm, or home may be offered for sale

Only “Iowa Grown” products are allowed

All merchants must post where the product originates

BROKERS, WHOLESALERS, AND RETAILERS CANNOT RESELL PRODUCTS OR PRODUCE THAT ARE IMPORTED FROM OUTSIDE THE STATE OF IOWA

Only uncontaminated, bacteria-free items using standard agricultural and sanitary practices may be offered for sale.

Sales are to be sold by container or item, not by weight or bulk.

Sales by weight are permissible if scales are State of Iowa certified.

Vendors must charge fair market prices for products

No price gouging is allowed

No product dumping at reduced prices is allowed

In the event the vendor fails to comply with these rules or the authorized direction of the Uptown Ankeny Market Manager, the vendor will immediately cease sales and vacate the space.

To be considered, simply complete the application and indicate the dates you're available. The number of market dates offered to each organization will depend on the total number of applicants.

Market Musician
Are you a local musician looking for an opportunity to perform? We're inviting solo artists and small groups to share their music at our Farmers Market.
Our market is a lively community gathering where local vendors, families, and visitors come together to shop, eat, and enjoy live entertainment. Volunteer performances help create a welcoming atmosphere while giving musicians the opportunity to connect with new audiences and promote their work.
Please note that these performances are volunteer opportunities and are not compensated. Performers are welcome to display business cards, promote upcoming shows, and share information about where people can find their music.
